Otis Federal Chain Border

This pattern is licensed to Adelphi Paper Hangings by Historic New England.


This sophisticated pattern of interlocking rings was used with the Otis Federal Stripe in a bedchamber of the first Harrison Gray Otis House (1796) in Boston. A sample of the same design was found in a first floor room of a London house and is now in the collection of English Heritage.

Imperial Measurements: Repeat ⅞ inches, width 2 inches

Metric Measurements: 2.2 cm, 4.9 cm.



Samples are available for all Adelphi Paper Hangings patterns. Standard pattern samples are 12 inches by 23 inches and are available for $15. for each pattern. Small samples, business envelope size, are available on request, at no charge (limited to 10 per customer).
